Whoops.
Writing more is something I really want to do. So I'm going to try to starting writing more here and at my sports blog.
In just about a month, I'll be in Baltimore for my third Otakon. I also attended in 2008 and 2012. The event in 2008 is very special because I got to see one of my favorite groups from Japan, JAM Project. That is an event that I won't soon forget.
I'm looking forward to going back to Baltimore because time is ticking on Otakon in Baltimore. In 2017, Otakon will pack up and move to a bigger convention center in Washington, D.C.
Baltimore is a really neat big city, and one that will always be special to me. Having said that, I've never been to DC and look forward to attending the first Otakon there in 2017.
Last year at this time, I was in Los Angeles for my first Anime Expo.

Even though I couldn't keep my finger out of the way, here is a view of the Los Angeles Convention Center for Anime Expo 2013! |
I also got to see a tremendous concert last year at Anime Expo. Pornograffitti brought the house down, and I've never had more fun at a concert than that one.
The only downside to Anime Expo is the size. There were 61,000+ in attendance and they were expecting closer to 80,000+ this year. I'm not sure how much longer the Los Angeles Convention Center can contain the event at that size.
A couple weeks ago, I attended Anime Blues Con in Memphis, TN. Memphis is a really cool city that is a must-see for anyone who loves blues and rock music. Beale Street did not disappoint. Make sure to visit the Pig on Beale and Aldo's Pizza Pies when in town. The food is fantastic.

The view out of the hotel room of the Mississippi River. It was a beautiful but warm weekend in the land of the delta blues. |
Anyway, my goal is to start writing regularly and discuss some of the shows I'm watching. Maybe I'll eventually get around to finishing that opening and ending song countdown I started forever ago.
No promises, though.
